This first one is a bit of a cheat; if you read my first list on 20 ideas for female-led reboots you’d know that Anderson’s name has already been tossed around several times for the #NextBond. While the X-Files actress is always more than willing to entertain her fans’ zany ideas on social media, it’s still somewhat up in the air over whether or not she would actually be down to play the part if the Bond folks came a-knocking.
Anderson’s ability to completely immerse herself into whatever character she happens to be playing at the moment is unlike any other. From her long tenure as Scully on The X-Files (and its recent revival) to her ice queen demeanor on The Fall to her tragic downfall on stage in A Streetcar Named Desire, she could certainly bring the intensity needed to the role of Bond.
