50 of Game of Thrones most stunning outfits

25. Sansa’s Rose Dress (Season 1)
Once Game of Thrones is over, or Sansa Stark dies (whichever comes first), I will do a slider of nothing but her outfits. The older, princess-ish, girlie daughter of the Stark clan may have had a rough time of it in King’s Landing, but let me tell you, she looked amazing at every turn. It was hard, therefore, to pick which of her dresses were the biggest stand outs. From Season 1, I went with her rose adorned dress from Robert’s tourney. Not only does it have beautiful thread work on the top layer, but the undersides are heavily embroidered with vines and flowers, as you can see in the picture. It’s a perfect match for Sansa’s love of all things pretty. (Speaking of pretty, she’s standing here and clapping for Loras.)
During this brief period in King’s Landing, she’s living the fantasy dream. She’s engaged to the heir to the throne, her father is a big shot political player. The court is filled with people courting her favor, and Robert and his love for fun ensures that there are tourneys galore for her to receive roses at. It’s a short dream, and when it ends, it ends brutally. But for one shining moment, Sansa is living the dream in a dress made to match. Perhaps confronted with such innocence and joy, one cannot blame Littlefinger for standing back and coveting it.
