14. Mission: Impossible, with Ming-Na Wen

Ming-Na Wen is unapologetically fierce. The actress, who currently stars on ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as the boss agent Melinda May, is no stranger to playing badass ladies – once upon a time, she also provided the voice of Mulan in the Disney animated film! It’s no wonder she’s asked to represent in places like Entertainment Weekly‘s Women Who Kick Ass Comic-Con panel. Not only is she refreshingly honest about doing her own stunts (occasionally in lingerie!) but she’s also warm and welcoming to fans of all ages who come out to support her and ask her questions about working as a woman of color in Hollywood.

While most of us might think of Mission: Impossible only as a film franchise starring Tom Cruise, it actually began as a television series which originally featured the likes of Peter Graves, Lesley Ann Warren and even Spock himself, Leonard Nimoy. Given that the TV show and movies have both had a rotating cast, it would be nice to see someone other than Tom Cruise step into the role of leading the IMF (or not, especially since it’s been disbanded. Eventually, Cruise’s Ethan Hunt is going to have to hand the reins over to someone. My vote is for Ming-Na Wen.
