20 Classic Films That Could Be Rebooted with Female Leads

13. Fight Club, with ALL THE LADIES
Okay. Obvious choice might be obvious here – especially since the lady in the photo above, Gina Carano, has already firmly established herself as one of the most kickass women in Hollywood (she was a mixed martial artist before she decided to become an actress as well). Her role in the 2009 film Haywire, directed by Steven Soderbergh, established her both as an action hero who could kick butt and take names but also as a powerful female lead. When it comes to who could star in an all-female version of Fight Club, we can think of no one better to lead the underground fighting ring.
That being said, an all-female Fight Club has potential to be a movie that will pay tribute to its predecessor without necessarily needing to follow the same formula. While there’s nothing wrong with the original story, there’s also possibilities to bring in a brand new character who is also feeling dismayed or nonchalant about their lives – or maybe they just need to blow off some steam. (Sidebar: Amy Poehler hasn’t tackled too many serious roles, but I think she’d be perfect for this.) The mere image of a bunch of ladies fighting to de-stress is one that calms me already.
