4. Zac Efron’s surprise visit to Rio!

Even world-famous Olympic gymnasts are fangirls, and this team is, apparently, obsessed with Zac Efron. Who can blame them, really? So when The Today Show found out, they asked Efron if he realized how big of fans the Final Five were, and invited him to Rio. He obliged happily and flew down to surprise the girls. He got to hang out with the Olympians, taking selfies and promising they could all go eat pizza and french fries (a delicacy to Olympic Gymnasts).

In an interview on NBC, Aly admitted that Simone is the true Zac-obsessed girl on the team. When they replayed a video of the girls first meeting Zac, it showed that Laurie Hernandez was the first to get a huge hug from him. “I’ll kill her,” Simone said, jokingly. She admitted to being star struck, even.

Funny how Simone Biles, a superstar in her own right, can get star struck, too. So, is there some sort of romance there? Not likely, but it’s still an awesome story from Rio. Doesn’t it just make ya wanna love Zac Efron?
