If you lived under a rock, you probably missed the hype about Big Little Lies. The mini-series was set to only have one season but what if…

Big Little Lies took the world by storm when it premiered this year. All of us suddenly became obsessed with these women in Monterey, California and we wanted to know all their secrets. But when we remembered it was just a mini-series, many of us felt at a loss for the show we now love so dearly.

Luckily for us, Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Liane Moriarty, the author of the book, is open to working on a season 2. After all, there is a lot that the show didn’t cover. For those who haven’t seen the show, stop reading now! I’m about to spoil some things.

So in the finale, we see Bonnie (Zoë Kravitz) pushing Perry (Alexander Skarsgård) down a flight of stairs and killing him. Why? Well, Perry is abusive and a terrible man. But in the books, we discover Bonnie’s past with abusive men.

The show didn’t cover that at all so Nicole Kidman, also speaking to EW, talked about what could be in store if they did a season 2.

"“We don’t have any plans for a season 2 but the beauty of this is there are so many deep stories here that are ripe for mining. There are so many different ways to go with all of these women. This is such a small portion of their lives but I love that people have connected to them in such a deep way. And everyone in different ways to different women.”"
