Your complete guide to the 2024 Walmart Thanksgiving hours

Thanksgiving is a day of spreading cheer and enjoying time with family. At least, that's the sentiment Walmart is sharing with its employees and it's great to see such a huge company giving its employees the day off.

In a press release shared by Walmart, "Walmart stores will be closed once again on Thanksgiving Day so associates can spend the day with their families." It's always nice to see companies letting their employees enjoy the holiday. It's also likely in large part due to the influx of people shopping for Black Friday and employees needing all the rest they can get before that happens.

No matter the reason, Walmart will be closed on Thanksgiving Day so instead of venturing out, you can stay relaxed at home, waiting for the turkey to cook. If you're going out to visit family, then at least you know Walmart is closed so if you're missing something, be sure to try to find somewhere else that's open.

The main reason people are headed to Walmart is the store's Black Friday deals and luckily for us, Walmart has been giving us Black Friday deals the entire month. Even so, I'm sure Walmart will still have some great sales up its sleeve to ensure that everyone is able to do a little Christmas shopping.

Walmart Black Friday sales and deals

As mentioned, Walmart has already started with some of its Black Friday deals which you can browse on the Walmart app or its website. However, its full lineup of Black Friday deals started on November 25th. For Walmart+ members, they were able to access everything a few days early which is a major perk if you're already a part of the Walmart+ community.

In looking at the preview of some of the Black Friday deals, Walmart has deals on tons of items including toys such as Hot Wheels, PicassoTiles, Squishmallows, and even, Bluey items. As most of us know, Bluey is going to be hot this year and plenty of people are going to be clamoring to get their hands on Bluey items. However, Walmart isn't just including toys in its Black Friday sales.

Whether you're looking for the perfect gift for the traveler in your life, the techie, or just need something to gift on a whim, Walmart has plenty of items on huge deals for Black Friday. There are video games, books, and movies all on sale which would be great if you're shopping for stocking stuffers or need the finishing touch for the perfect gift.

As with most stores, Walmart will be shifting items in and out as they sell so make sure to grab it when you see it as it might be gone in the next day or even, in hours. However if you're still getting ready for Thanksgiving, then at least you know you won't have to fight the crowds at Walmart on Thanksgiving.
