What's new this November 2024 for PlayStation Plus members

PlayStation Plus Essential Tier members get three new games in November... and they feel kind of like niche choices this month. Honestly, with how this subscription service has fared over the last year, nothing really surprises us.

Here are your free games for the month of November:

• Ghostwire Tokyo

• Death Note Killer Within

• Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 - Turbocharged

First up is Ghostwire Tokyo. This is a first-person action-adventure game set in a very realistic Tokyo, and the visuals are absolutely, jaw-droppingly fantastic. You fight ghouls and ghosts throughout the city as Tokyo is overrun by deadly supernatural forces and the population vanishes.

Before release, this game looked fantastic and awesome and the combat looked like something brand new. It all fell a little flat in execution, though, and felt a little lacking. The visuals stayed fantastic, though.

This game was also on the PS Plus Extra for a while but was taken off about seven months ago. Just an FYI if you thought this was a double-dipping kind of month.

The next game is Death Note Killer Within, which is an online social deduction game for up to ten players at a time. It also releases on November 5th (the same day you can download for free!). You have to deduce the other players' identities and eliminate the opposition in a battle of wits. Not much is known, so you'll have to download and play it when it releases.

Last up is the kid-friendly game of the month, Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 - Turbocharged, which released last year. You get over 130 vehicles to race and 5 brand new locations since the first game. It's also very surprising just how detailed this game is when it's targeted more at kids than anyone else.

Honestly, it's a pretty good arcade-y racing game that you can play with your kids. There's even skill trees to level up your cars and it's more in-depth that you'd think for a racing game. It'll have you pretty hooked.
