What would Brits give up to see Taylor Swift? It might surprise you!
The Eras Tour is easily one of the biggest and most sought-after concerts to get tickets to. If you know someone who did, you also know 3-5 people who didn't get to see Taylor Swift.
While most of us thought the tour would go on forever, Swift has announced that the tour will be wrapping up in December. Due to that, the demand for tickets has gone even higher with fans clamoring to get their hands on tickets, no matter where they're located.
SeatPick knows this and decided to talk to 3,000 Brits to ask the lengths they'd be willing to go to see their favorite artist. Frankly, the responses might surprise you, but since I'm someone who hasn't attended the Eras Tour but is dying to, I can completely understand.
Starting things off strong, people were asked what they were willing to give up to see their favorite artist live and the top response was "Skip showering for a month." Yes, you read that right. Over 75% of people would be willing to not shower for a month to see their favorite artist. That is true dedication and I can't blame them.
Seatpick shared even more people would give up for a concert.
While skipping showering for a month was the top response, over half would also "Give up vacation," which if you're buying Eras Tour tickets, is probably your vacation. Just under half would camp outside of the venue for a week to get tickets which is something people have done in the past. Some would even shave off all their hair or miss their own wedding which is something I never thought I'd type out.
Of those looking to buy tickets and not being able to afford them, over half would ask their friends or family to borrow some money. Some would even take money out of their mortgage or rent money which is something that is blowing my mind. Almost 25% of people would pick up a side hustle to afford tickets and I can respect that. Sometimes, you have to grind a little bit to be able to get those things.
As for the price, most would pay between £150 and £300 for a single ticket which is roughly $167.00 to $334.00 which is honestly not bad for concert tickets. Frankly, I've spent more to see the Jonas Brothers but hey, that's just me. Either way, this was such a insightful and fun look into what people will do to see their favorite artist.
