The video game news never slows down, and this week is chock full of plenty. We haven't even made it to Summer Game Fest yet! But that will require its own dedicated article.

So let's dive right in to this week's news.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be on Game Pass day one

To no one's surprise, the recently announced Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be on Xbox Game Pass for day one access. Activision also announced there will be a worldwide reveal for it on June 9th. If you've been paying attention, yes that is during the Xbox/Microsoft showcase at Summer Game Fest.

PlayStation's Days of Play deals

PlayStation announced their June PS Plus offerings early this month and gave us a look at what their annual Days of Play deals will be, too.

Running from May 29 to June 12, there are new offerings for all tiers of their PlayStation Plus subscription service, community challenges and star campaigns with digital collectibles to be had, but more importantly, there are discounts.

Specifically on the PlayStation 5 and the PlayStation VR2 and $20 discounts on a handful of big-name games, including Marvel's Spider-Man 2, The Last of Us Part II, and Rise of the Ronin.

The Legend of Zelda LEGO set

If you ignore the price point, Nintendo's first LEGO set is absolutely fantastic. Legend of Zelda fans should be excited for it.

I mean, no one should be surprised at the $300 price tag. It's LEGO. And Nintendo.

Alan Wake 2 DLC coming soon...?

Remedy Entertainment and Alan Wake's social media accounts all posted the same graphic and updated their names earlier this week. And with an eyeball emoji from Geoff Keighley (who runs Summer Game Fest) and a shrugging emoji and eyeball emoji from Sam Lake, we are highly suspicious.

Alan Wake 2 has been out since last October and made our list of games you should have played in 2023. I haven't stopped thinking about Alan Wake 2 since playing through the new game plus that released after The Game Awards, and I need to know more about the "Night Springs" DLC like, yesterday.

PlayStation State of Play 2024

PlayStation had another State of Play on May 30 to give some updates of things to come. There are plenty of recaps around the internet, but some of the highlights include looks at Monster Hunter Wilds, Marvel Rivals (coming to closed beta in July), a release date for the Silent Hill 2 Remake, and a look at the new Astro Bot game.
