If you take anything from this week's video game news, know that there are so many wonderful deals out there for games leading up to Prime Day, so don't miss out!

The video game news keeps rolling in every week, and even though we took last week off due to the holiday, that doesn't mean anything else stopped! Let's jump in!

The Last of Us season 2 photos

Okay, if you want to avoid spoilers, then don't click on the link I'm about to include. Because they're unofficial photos from the filming in Vancouver of The Last of Us season 2. It gives us our first look at Dina and Bella Ramsey with Ellie's look from Part 2. They're sticking pretty close to the game, which the first season did, too, so no one should be surprised.

Video game deals

Okay, with Amazon's Prime Day on the horizon next week, we thought we'd do a quick round-up of all the various deals going on because it can't just be Amazon offering up all the fun.

But let's start at Amazon. They are offering 18 free PC games. That (hilariously) includes Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, which only launched a few months ago for the standard $70 and now it's free. I mean, it's mostly trash, but it's free! Other highlights include Knights of the Old Republic 2 and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge.

Jumping from Amazon over to Target, they're offering a buy-two-get-one-free deal, which actually includes preorders like the physical version of Alan Wake 2, our GOTY for 2023. They also have some Switch games marked down to $35. Just remember you have to be a Target Circle member to get these rewards.

And Walmart also has some good deals on gaming gear and games, too. So if you've been waiting for some sales, jump on them now!

Xbox Game Pass price increase

To no one's surprise, another subscription service has increased their prices! And adding another tier! Which doesn't include access on day one!

As of July 10 for new users and September 12 for existing users, Game Pass Ultimate is $19.99 a month, Standard is $14.99 a month, Core is $9.99 a month but the 12-month subscription is going to $74.99. PC Game Pass is $11.99 a month and then Game Pass for Console is $10.99 a month for existing subscribers but you can't sign up for it anymore and the maximum extension limit will be 13 months.

Emio teaser trailer

Nintendo released a trailer for Emio, which we know nothing about. Except that it looks creepy as heck.

There's nothing else to it, but if this is Nintendo's foray into an M-rated horror game... we might be here for it.
