Tia Williams is one of those romance authors I read and was immediately captivated by. I don't know if it was her writing or the story in Seven Days in June to be totally honest.

Regardless, Tia Williams truly cemented herself as one of my go-to authors. Considering that I went on to read and review A Love Song for Ricki Wilde, that checks out.

In looking up a few romance books, I stumbled upon a recent article shared by Today which featured an interview with Tia Williams. While the interview talked about Williams, her work, and A Love Song for Ricki Wilde, she did share a juicy tidbit.

When asked if she was working on something new, Williams shared that: "I just finished my next novel. My next manuscript, which is a YA rom-com, it’s about Audrey, who is the daughter of Eva in "Seven Days in June." She’s 12 in "Seven Days in June," but in this book, she’s 16. It’s her summer after 11th grade, and she’s checked all the boxes. She’s president of the class, she’s this, she’s that. She’s running things, but she realizes that she doesn’t know how to have fun. So she hires this kind of a wild guy to teach her how to have fun for the summer."

Talk about the ultimate tease from Tia Williams!

In seeing her answer, I knew I had to write something up because I adore Seven Days in June. It's a book that ended up taking the romance world by storm. Since then, we've all been clamoring for more from Williams.

With that being said, I'm excited to see what she does in the YA sphere. There are so many great authors, straddling the line between two age groups and I'm excited to see Williams' take. She has such a beautiful writing style and a knack for storytelling so I'm hopeful that this one will be just as beautiful but a bit lighter.

I've only read Seven Days in June and A Love Song by Ricki Wilde by Tia Williams, but she has written YA in the past. Even if you're not a big YA reader, I know Tia Williams has the capacity to surprise those who only read adult romances. While we only got a small preview from the author, I already can't wait to read her next release.
