The Houston Rodeo confirms we need a country Jonas Brothers album
After an amazing Houston Rodeo performance, it means one thing for the Jonas Brothers.
The Jonas Brothers are superstars in their own right. The talented trio has released multiple albums together and solo but a recent performance at the Houston Rodeo proved much more.
When it comes to country music, most people don't think of the Jonas Brothers, and rightfully so. It might come as a surprise to some, but the brothers actually recorded a "country" song for their 2009 album, Lines, Vines and Trying Times.
Called "What Did I Do To Your Heart?" the song was never a fan-favorite until recently. While embarking on the 5 Albums, One Night tour, the band played the song and later, Nick Jonas even mentioned he enjoyed it a lot more now. Due to that, the idea immediately came to mind.
With the Jonas Brothers having their own version of a country song and even, doing some duets and covers in the past, there is only one reasonable conclusion.
It's time for the Jonas Brothers to release a country music album!
Given how many pop artists are going country, this is not a statement made in following a trend. As someone who has loved the Jonas Brothers for years, I think they are well-suited for country music and would thrive. That's not to say that I think they should stay in the country music world.
If anything, I think it's best that the brothers try it out and see if it ends up being a fruitful endeavor for them. From there, it's up to them on how to proceed. Of course, their case is also helped by their collab with Bailey Zimmerman who is a star in his own right. If anything, that proves just how easily the brothers could fit in.
As I said though, I don't feel like this should be a premanent move for the Jonas Brothers. I think a foray into country music would be something fun for both them and their fans. While it might not be as well-recieved at first, it's clear the love for "What Did I Do To Your Heart?" is still alive and well. If anything, even a country song or two on their next album would be a nice treat.
Until then, we still have "What Did I Do To Your Heart?" to listen to along with an old performance with Brad Paisley and their recent foray at the Houston Rodeo. In addition, there are a lot of great country artists to jam out to. Even if the Jonas Brothers never go completely country, I think we'll see the band do something with country music in the future.
