Penelope Featherington vows to keep her Lady Whistledown identity in Bridgerton season 3 part 2 trailer
Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) wants to keep a piece of herself before she becomes Mrs. Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton). The gossip among the society's men and ladies is fresh and juicy, and everyone is dying to know just who Lady Whistledown is, the author of the Society Papers.
In the trailer for Netflix's period drama Bridgerton season 3, part 2, Penelope is copiously writing the infamous gossip page as she and Colin prepare for their upcoming wedding, which is undoubtedly copiously writing the season's social event. Yet, the pressure is on as she wants to keep her Lady Whistledown identity a secret, but a few, including her future sister-in-law, Eloise Bridgerton (Claudia Jessie), dare to burst her bubble.
Colin, of course, is raising his suspicions regarding Penelope's writing, but she brushes it off. After all, she has an absolute right to hold on to something precious, even if others don't approve or don't know. It may even lose Colin's intimacy with Penelope if her secret is revealed.
But is having this secret "double life" as London's most famous writer worth the risk of losing Colin's love and her family's respect? Penelope doesn't vocally announce her engagement, so she tells it in the Society Papers instead, and the news shocks everyone, including her mother and sisters.
"Until he knows the real you, he cannot possibly love you!" Eloise confronts Penelope and threatens to tell Colin about Lady Whistledown if Penelope doesn't tell him herself.
That is some heavy family drama brewing, and it's only going to get deeper as we get to the finale.
