I’m proud to now say that I’ve enjoyed every single book I’ve read from Hannah Bonam-Young and yes, I’m including Out on a Limb on that list.

Out on a Limb is the latest re-release from Dell and frankly, I can’t believe I didn’t pick up these books before a publisher did. Even so, this one was high on my list to feature on Culturess in June so here we are.

If you’re a fan of Hannah Bonam-Young’s other works, Out on a Limb feels like something slightly different yet still a cozy read. While I’ll get into my thoughts in just a second, this book was truly a delight from start to finish.

I’d like to thank Dell for putting this one on my radar as I ended up absolutely devouring it and haven’t stopped thinking about it since.

Out on a Limb is a beautiful love story by Hannah Bonam-Young.

Let me just say that I don’t know what Hannah Bonam-Young is putting in her books but she always has me crying. Anyway, let’s get into what Out on a Limb is about because it’s such a unique romance from start to finish and that’s part of why I loved it so much.

Win is at her best friend's Halloween party where she meets Bo. The two end up meeting since they’re both dressed like pirates and Win does it since one of her hands is slightly smaller so she uses it as a hook. Meanwhile, Bo recently got a prosthetic leg and uses that as his peg leg. After they meet, it’s clear there is so much chemistry between them.

Eventually after lots of talking and flirting, the two end up going upstairs to have a little bit more fun. While the connection is there, Bo leaves almost immediately and the two end up going their separate ways. Of course, things get a little more complicated when Win goes to the doctor and finds out she’s pregnant.

While she’s understandably scared, she reaches out to Bo and the two decide to at least stay friends for the sake of co-parenting and eventually, move in together for convenience. Of course, it ends up being such a beautiful love story between the two. As gorgeous as this story is, it isn’t without its hardships.

Win is dealing with some grief after losing a mother figure in her life and trying to figure herself out before becoming a mother. Bo is also trying to reckon with his past as well. Honestly, these two are messy at times but it’s incredibly realistic. I loved watching them grow so much as both individuals and as a couple.

If you haven’t read a book by Hannah Bonam-Young and you’re wanting to pick up Out on a Limb, please do. I honestly could not put this book down once I started and it was such a beautiful story.

Out on a Limb by Hannah Bonam-Young is out now where books are sold.
