Thank you to Mattel for sending me these Monster High x Wednesday dolls for free!

Netflix's Wednesday became a cultural phenomenon. The television show took the titular character from the classic Addams Family franchise and placed her within her own, brand new story.

However, this is an entirely new Wednesday than the several others audiences were familiar with. Wednesday, played by Jenna Ortega, has psychic powers, a complicated relationship with her mother Morticia, attends school at Nevermore Academy, and helps solve gruesome murders.

But some things never change such as her blunt attitude, intelligence, and penchant for the macabre and the color black. Therefore, it should be no surprise that Wednesday's unique style would match that of Mattel's successful doll franchise Monster High.

Thanks to such a collaboration, Mattel released three Monster High x Wednesday dolls. Let's take a look at the two they sent me for free.

Enid Sinclair

Beginning with Wednesday's werewolf roommate Enid Sinclair, I was awestruck the moment she was freed from her box. As complex as Enid's friendship is with Wednesday, one thing remained very clear; her style was always bright and bubbly, just like her contagious personality.

Enid is all about pastels and pretty things, therefore her doll reflects such an aesthetic perfectly. This doll has several points of articulation including and most impressively, the wrists.

Her long, werewolf-style nails are painted to match the rest of her outfit. My favorite detail of her entire design is her yellow lace-up boots, complete with teddy bear and unicorn heels (where can I find these in real life?).

No expense was spared as I noted the impressive quality of her entire ensemble. She's lightweight, easy to pose and position with the doll stand, and incredibly beautiful.

Of course, this wouldn't be a Monster High collaboration without elements of the doll franchise, which include the Monster High skull logo on items such as the easy-to-put-together doll stand, Enid's pink backpack, and her sweater.

Rave'N Wednesday

The Rave'N Wednesday doll might not be as colorful as Enid, rightfully so, but it's just as detailed and impressive. Everyone remembers Wednesday's quirky and bizarre dance from the Netflix show.

What everyone equally remembers is her all-black attire, which includes an elegant lace black dress. Her signature black braids have been folded and pinned to her hair.

She wears long black stockings that compliment her gorgeous black heels. Her earrings contain a nod to the Monster High logo, and I couldn't believe the added detail of a skull within her pupils.

Like Enid, her facial details cannot be missed, as well as her points of articulation. When Wednesday is standing on her doll stand next to Enid, the two recreate the duo from the show.

Rave'N Wednesday does come with a Certificate of Authenticity.

You can find both dolls on websites such as Amazon.com and Walmart.com. For those who love Wednesday, or simply enjoy collecting dolls, Enid and Wednesday cannot be overlooked.

Their unique and timeless styles and designs will surely make them standouts in the doll world.
