If there’s one series I’ll always read as it comes out, it’s the Dark Olympus series by Katee Robert and we’re now onto book 6 which is Midnight Ruin.

Whether you’ve been following this series since the beginning or just started it, it’s a dark and sexy take on the Gods of Olympus. Each book follows a different pairing with some being just two people while others are poly. Honestly, each book keeps getting better and better.

When I heard that Midnight Ruin was going to follow Eurydice, Charon, and Orpehus, I felt like I could jump for joy. I have been waiting for Eurydice to finally get a book and I knew as soon as I sat down to read this that I’d finish it in one sitting.

I’d like to thank Sourcebooks Casablanca for sending me an ARC copy of this one as I treasure it so dearly and I’m a huge fan of Katee Robert and this series.

Midnight Ruin feels sexy and fresh in the series.

When you’re invested in a series like Dark Olympus, there are so many interwoven plots and storylines that it can be hard to keep track of. Thankfully, Midnight Ruin feels like a breath of fresh air in the best way. As mentioned, this is the romance I’ve been dying for which is Eurydice, Charon, and Orpheus.

The story begins with Eurydice doing some retcon with Ariadne but she gets ditched so she heads to the club that her sister and Hades own. Before she can do anything, Hades’ right-hand man, Charon shows up and the two start to get hot and heavy before she stops him. She explains that she needs to get closure with Orpheus before she moves forward with him.

From there, we watch as the three end up meeting and it is truly explosive. I’m sure we can all expect the chemistry between Eurydice and Orpheus yet it’s almost overpowered by her connection with Charon. In true Katee Robert fashion though, no one feels left out and this trio is stronger and better together.

In Midnight Ruin, we see how the author manages a fast-paced plot while also featuring loads of character and relationship development for the three love interests. Politically, things are really heating up and I’m so excited to see where that goes. Plus the sex scenes and the additional kink elements in here were hot as hell. That’s nothing more to say than that because it’s to be expected.

While I did love this book, I don’t think it’s my favorite. Usually, the next book in the series ends up overtaking the previous one. This time though, it felt like I needed a bit more to fully be in love with it. Even so, I will never stop reading and loving this series so I have no idea how I’m going to handle it when Katee Robert finally wraps it up.

Midnight Ruin by Katee Robert is out now where books are sold.
