Liam Neeson set to star in upcoming 'Naked Gun' reboot
Liam Neeson is one of Hollywood's versatile actors. From his award-nominated performance in Schindler's List to his action roles in the Taken franchise, Neeson can play any part. Now, he'll show off his comedic talent in an upcoming Naked Gun reboot.
The 1988 hit film starred Leslie Nielsen as the bumbling Lieutenant Frank Drebin who tries to keep the streets of Los Angeles safe. Naked Gun received praise from critics and grossed critics $152 million at the box office. Nielsen would reprise his role for the film's two sequels.
Fans of the classic film will have a chance to see a new spin with the reboot.

Rumors about a Naked Gun reboot have been swirling for a while, and now Paramount has greenlit plans for the movie. According to Variety, the film will be produced by Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane.
Neeson and MacFarlane previously worked together on the 2014 comedy A Million Ways to Die in the West. The actor star also had a cameo in Ted 2 and did voiceover work on Family Guy.
The script for the upcoming Naked Gun film was co-written by Dan Gregor, Doug Mand, and Akiva Schaffer; the team behind Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers. Schaffer will also serve as the film's director.
No further details including other cast members or premise have been released. The movie is scheduled for release on July 18, 2025.
Neeson has big shoes to fill taking over as Nielsen's beloved and humorous Frank Drebin. Fans will have to wait and see if the reboot lives up to the original.
