All aspects of a celebrity's life make tabloid news. Unfortunately for Willis, his dementia battle has been the topic of Hollywood gossip.

Recent headlines claimed the Die Hard star had "no more joy" in him amid his dementia battle. The actor's wife got wind of the reports, which triggered her.

During the weekend, Heming Willis went live on Instagram to debunk the tabloid rumors. "The headline basically says there is no more joy in my husband. Now, I can tell you, that is far from the truth," she began by saying.

"I need society and whosoever is writing these stupid headlines to stop scaring people. Stop scaring people to think that once they get a diagnosis fo some kind of neurocognitive disease that, 'That's it. It's over. Let's pack it up. Nothing else to see here, we're done.' No. It is the complete opposite of that, okay?"

The mom of two has her hands full taking care of her daughters and being her husband's caregiver. She admits there are times of "grief and sadness," but also positive moments.

"You start a new chapter and that chapter is filled - let me just tell you what it is. It's filled with love, it's filled with connection, it's filled with joy, it's filled with happiness."

Since her husband's diagnosis, Heming Willis has worked with many dementia advocacy groups. She then implored the media to educate themselves on how to spread awareness about dementia.

"To whom it may concern, please be mindful how you frame your story's to the public about dementia and dig deeper. There are so many wonderful organizations and specialists within this space to reach out to so you can really do your due diligence to iron your story and content out."
