Elizabeth Gillies' Tubi original comedy and 7 more titles coming in September

You may have missed the memo about CW's Dynasty star: Elizabeth Gillies is featured in the new Tubi original Spread alongside Academy Award and Golden Globe nominee Harvey Keitel who appeared in so many notable films. Filmmaking trio director Ellie Kanner and screenwriter Buffy Charlet with Gillies serve as the film's executive producer and lead.

This workplace comedy opens with Gillies as a grit, ambitious, critical fashionable woman named Ruby Clarke who was recently let go from her paid internship at a corporate media company. In the next few seconds, the film illustrates Ruby as a job seeker ''finding work'' or applying to a position in today's employment climate.

Spread has some touches of the 2000s and 2010s-era in terms of the tone and sense of humor but what helps the film is the performance from Gillies, Keitel who plays the magazine’s founder and Editor-in-Chief, and everyone else.

Spread is one of Tubi's originals that stands out among others has been released on the streaming platform. The film works for Gillies in terms of the positive version of the working girl character that is not a villain or a satire.
