The 1988 flick Die Hard starring Bruce Willis is one of the greatest action movies of all time. The plot follows New York cop John McClane, who travels to Los Angeles to spend Christmas with his estranged wife Holly. John's trip takes a dangerous turn when terrorists overtake Holly's office party, and it's up to the cop to rescue his wife and her co-workers.

The film was a huge success and helped kickstart Willis' movie career as an action star. In recent years, it's been part of a huge debate among fans. While Die Hard is an action film, many also consider it to be a holiday movie since it takes place at Christmas.

In 2018, during his Comedy Central Roast, Willis declared to the audience that "Die Hard is not a Christmas movie." However, his family has a different opinion.

Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah Willis are the actor's three older daughters with his ex-wife, actress Demi Moore. Willis also has two daughters, Mabel and Evelyn with his wife Emma Heming Willis. The family is currently in Idaho preparing for Christmas, but Rumer took a break for a Q&A session on her Instagram stories.

One of the questions from her followers is whether Die Hard is a Christmas movie. Rumer gathered her sisters together for the debate.

"It's a f***ing Christmas movie. It takes place during Christmas," Scout declared.

Rumer agreed, "It's a Christmas movie."

"Do we need to do this though?" asked Tallulah

The girls' answers were short and to the point. Die Hard might be on the family's watchlist this year because this is a special Christmas for them. This will mark Rumer's first holiday as a mom since giving birth to daughter Louetta in April.

It also marks ten months since the family made the heartbreaking announcement in February 2023 that Willis had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia. The family has been open about Willis' condition and revealed he has good and bad days. But the action star has the love and support from his loved ones.
