Cruel Summer: Megan, Isabella, and Luke

Although Cruel Summer's second season was not able to match the excitement and mystery of the first season, the love triangle between Megan, Isabella, and Luke certainly managed to keep things complex, especially when adding Luke's death into account.

At first, things are kept relatively simple with Megan disliking Isabella almost immediately while Megan and Luke are best friends. Eventually, events transpire that bring Megan and Isabella closer together as friends and Luke and Isabella briefly romantically together. Except, it does not take long for things to unravel enough for Megan and Luke to become season two's main romantic pairing.

Luke having a romantic connection to Megan and Isabella makes things emotionally difficult in the aftermath of Megan and Luke's sex tape leaking just enough for everyone to think it was actually Luke and Isabella on the tape.

The trio's attempt to deceive the town into thinking they are right about Luke cheating brings out plenty of tension, but that is while Megan and Isabella are still under the belief that the sex tape was leaked as an accident.

The truth is far more devastating, as it is finally revealed that Luke had knowingly and purposefully leaked the tape after his father's abuse drives Luke to his breaking point. However, it is also worth noting that Luke made the tape of himself and Megan without Megan's knowledge or consent.

The ride-or-die friendship between Megan and Isabella also reaches a terrifying conclusion when Megan realizes that Isabella is the one to end Luke's life.
