This recap contains spoilers for Grey's Anatomy Season 21, episode 11: "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For."
Blue's former fiancé -- and now girlfriend, maybe, almost? -- has a seizure, and reveals she's been having them off and on for years ever since the accident that impacted her long-term memory. Amelia catches him and Adams running unsupervised tests, and jumps into the case to reveal Molly should have brain surgery. She refuses, but tells Blue that she wants to try to convince Amelia to try an experimental treatment on her in an attempt to recover and preserve her memory ... of him! Aww.
Bailey, disappointed with the results of Warren's residency evaluation, the two team up to see a patient with severe liver failure. Despite his best efforts, Warren ends up pleading Lisa's case to the transplant committee. In the end, Bailey confronts him about needing to know his place in the ranks and do what he's told. He argues that he only wants to fight for his patients, even if it means stepping out of line to do it. It really goes to show that you should never work for your spouse, even indirectly.
Meredith and Nick disagree on how to handle their ethically-questionable liver transplant case. Catherine, after speaking with the transplant committee, announces the liver will go to Bailey and Warren's patient. Through conflicting feelings about the patient's Alzheimer's diagnosis and knowing Meredith's family history, Nick proposes that they split the viable liver between both patients, saving two lives at once. After the procedure is successful, Richard and Meredith finally reconcile. Meredith and Nick agree on one thing -- they really, really like being together. (For a moment I thought maybe we'd get two proposals in a row, but honestly, that moment would deserve more screen time than this after all Meredith has been through.)
Finally, Owen's time spent caring for a patient who ends up confessing his love to his best friend -- who rejects him, but gently -- he finally confesses to Teddy about his feelings for Nora. Teddy, who once again runs into and spends time with the woman who she now realizes she might actually have real feelings for, in turn confesses her similar situation to Owen. Heartbroken and confused, they hug -- mutually wondering about the future of their friendship more than their marriage.
In other words, Grey's is giving Meredith quite the happy ending to her love story (for once) while Teddy and Owen, who really seemed like they were doing all right for a while, might be the next couple to call it quits. Some things, they never do change around here.
