If there's one item I never thought about adding to tuna, it was Old Bay but Chicken of the Sea cracked the code. The brand dropped two new flavors just in time for everyone to get ready for Baltimore's playoff run.
As someone who lived in Maryland previously, I can tell you that Old Bay is something I was asked about constantly. Let me just clarify that I was not someone who worked in the grocery area of the store so that was even odder.
Regardless, this release will not only excite the people of Maryland but those wanting something a little bit more from their tuna. While it can take a bit to dress up your tuna for lunch or dinner, Chicken of the Sea is making it even easier. As mentioned, the brand released Chicken of the Sea Wild Caught Light Tuna Packet with OLD BAY Seasoning which sounds good on its own. However, the brand took it a step further.
Chicken of the Sea also announced the release of Chicken of the Sea Wild Caught Light Tuna Packet with McCormick Chili Lime. These releases are the latest addition to Chicken of the Sea's Packet Up, Packet In line which features other tasty flavors. Some of other options include Lemon Garlic, Sweet & Spicy and Dill Tuna Salad.
Chicken of the Sea shared some recipes to try with these new items.
Whether you've located these at your local store already or not, Chicken of the Sea gave some options for those wanting to do something more. Most people would think of making tuna salad or just enjoying it as something quick for lunch. However, we're moving past that, especially with how many people are preaching about the importance of eating more protein.
Additionally, I'd like to thank Chicken of the Sea for sending me some of the Old Bay version to try as I'm a huge fan of Old Bay. If you're like me, then you're probably dying to try the Old Bay Tuna Mac & Cheese which is a recipe the brand shared. Basically, it's just using your favorite mac and cheese recipe but adding tuna thus increasing your protein intake. You can also make an Old Bay Tuna Roll which just sounds heavenly.
Chicken of the Sea also shared some recipes for its Chili Lime Tuna. You can make some Chili Lime Tuna Fajitas which use all your favorite fajita ingredients but you're subbing in your normal protein for tuna. For those hosting playoff parties or getting ready for the Super Bowl, why not make the Better-For-You Chili Lime Tuna 7-Layer Dip? Once again, you take all the aspects of a classic 7-layer Dip and just up the protein.
No matter which one you decide to try, Chicken of the Sea has been and always will be a favorite for those who love tuna or are craving more protein. If anything, the addition of these new flavors will get even more people talking about how underrated tuna is and why it deserves even more love. Either way, these two flavors were too tasty not to talk about.
