Spending the holidays with people you love is a long and fun tradition. Green Giant shared a recent study that the tides are turning.

While some people think of a traditional Thanksgiving fare with family, others are opting to spend Thanksgiving with friends aka Friendsgiving. With 1,000 participants taking the survey, that’s really something to consider.

The most staggering find was that “60% of people surveyed who celebrate Friendsgiving said they think it’s much more fun than Thanksgiving; surprisingly, 24% of people surveyed who have never participated think of Friendsgiving as the more fun holiday.” Honestly, I can see why people feel that way.

Even though I’ve never celebrated Friendsgiving, it always seems like so much fun and a great way to spend time with your chosen family.

Green Giant breaks down Friendsgiving and its popularity in 2023.

Whether you’re celebrating Friendsgiving or not, there is no denying how popular the idea has become. If you’re far from family, don’t have any family, or just enjoy spending time with friends, it’s a great way to enjoy a holiday without having to do something you can’t do or don’t want to do.

Since it’s Green Giant, we have to talk veggies for a second. While turkey is usually the star of the show, the sides are just as important. What I found most fun was that “26% surveyed say they’ll be bringing Green Bean Casserole while 32% surveyed say they’ll be bringing Corn Casserole.” I mean I know I’ll be having both so I can’t deny anyone trying to bring those to my celebration.

No matter if you’re celebrating Friendsgiving or not, the brand is giving back by pledging a donation to No Kid Hungry. You can too if you head to the Green Giant’s page, host a fundraiser, and grab a recipe book. Ultimately, it’s nice to be able to get together for Friendsgiving and give back at the same time.

Regardless of how you’re celebrating, you can still enjoy some veggies from Green Giant and have a Thanksgiving feast with friends, family, and everyone you love.
