Friends star Matthew Perry passed away at the age of 54. While generations remember Perry playing the sarcastic Chandler Bing and his New York Times Bestseller tell-all memoir including Perry’s film roles.

Dance Until Dawn (1988)

Before Friends, maybe you may remember Perry’s role in the late 1980s teen comedy about prom night and high school seniors who have plans for a wild, all-night prom that no one expects a part like this. Those who followed Matthew Perry before Friends was ever pitched,  would remember this high school teen comedy about prom night and Perry’s performance in this late eighties comedy.

Fools Rush In (1997)

Andy Tennant’s romantic comedy stars Perry and Salma Hayek together about a one-night stand that turns into a pregnancy and getting married. For those who have followed Perry since Friends premiered, remember Perry in this film role as a terminal bachelor and Hayek.

Serving Sara (2002)

Another romantic comedy of the early 2000s with a revenge twist stars Perry as the leading man alongside Austin Powers star Elizabeth Hurley. Another film role after Fools Rush In and Friends fans remember his performance as the romantic comedy leading man.

The Ron Clark Story (2006)

Perry stars in a coming-of-age television film and some remember his performance in this role about a teacher who leaves his hometown to teach at one of New York’s toughest middle schools.

17 Again (2009)

Some were in high school/college, graduated from one of either, or working when this film was released. Remember this film vividly both Zac Efron’s performance and Perry’s in his role as the thirty-something Mike O’Donnell. For only a few minutes of the film’s beginning, Perry makes himself stand out until the audience gets to see adult Mike O’Donnell {spoiler} at the film’s ending.
