One thing that rarely gets enough book coverage is graphic novels so adding Huda F Cares to my October reading list was a must.

When I first got this email, I didn’t realize this was Huda Fahmy’s second book so I had to pick up the first book which is Huda F Are You? The first book follows Huda as she moves to a new city and school. She’s trying to make friends, get good grades, and be her own person.

Huda F Are You was such a fun one so I knew I had to pick up the second book immediately after finishing it. Plus I just adore the art style in these and seeing what Huda gets into while on vacation was too much to resist.

With that being said, I’d like to thank Dial Books for sending me a digital ARC to read early and review for all of you.

Huda F Cares is a hilarious and relatable follow-up from Huda Fahmy.

I knew that Huda F Cares was going to be a fun one as it follows Huda and her family as they go on vacation. After seeing how much Huda dealt with in the predecessor, I was ready to see her have fun. Huda and her family excluding one of her sisters are going to Disney World!

It seems like the happiest place on Earth until you’re stuck in the car with your sisters for over 12 hours. Things seem unfair at first as each sister is paired with another and Huda can’t hang out with a friend she made. Regardless, she quickly learns her lesson when some unfortunate incidents make her realize that spending time with her sisters might not be as bad as she thought.

Of course, she doesn’t get there all on her own as she ends up getting into some trouble with her parents and even, her sisters. Frankly, Huda doesn’t always make the best choices but that’s part of being a teenager. She’s dealing with all these changes and not able to do what she wants which is something I’m sure a lot of teen readers can relate to.

Regardless, it’s clear Huda loves and appreciates her family in the end. Also, Huda Fahmy’s acknowledgments are worth reading as it’s clear she loves her family and doesn’t mind poking fun at them at the same time. Considering that I read these books back-to-back, I think you can’t go wrong in doing the same.

Fahmy’s writing style is so fun and it feels like you’re having a conversation with her. Plus the art is amazing and I especially love the colors used. All in all, Huda F Cares was a lot of fun and one I think a lot of readers will enjoy this autumn.

Huda F Cares by Huda Fahmy is out now where books are sold.
