If there’s one thing better than Christmas, it’s reading romance books focusing on Christmas such as Wreck the Halls by Tessa Bailey.

As someone who has read and enjoyed Tessa Bailey in the past, I was excited to be able to read this one early. Thank you so much to Avon for sending me an ARC of this one.

While Tessa Bailey has written in a lot of different romance subgenres, this is only her second foray into Christmas romance, and what a time it was. If you recall, her first was Window Shopping which was heavily inspired by Ted Lasso.

Now, we’re getting Wreck the Halls which is such a unique premise and something I never imagined Tessa Bailey would write so let’s get into my thoughts.

Wreck the Halls is a steamy winter wonderland from Tessa Bailey.

Wreck the Halls shows us the first meeting of Melody and Beat whose mothers were in the famous band that had an infamous breakup. From that point, the two haven’t talked yet Melody and Beat always felt this connection.

Fast-forward to over a decade later and the TV producers come knocking. They want to get the band back together and want Melody and Beat to help them. While it seems like a long shot, Beat agrees but only if Melody will do it. From there, it’s a race against the clock for more reasons than one that I don’t want to spoil.

The two try to convince their mothers to reunite if only for one song so they can get paid for the reality show they’re doing. Since everything is being live-streamed, the crowd immediately “ships” Beat and Melody. The two also can’t seem to keep their hands and eyes off each other even when the cameras aren’t on. The tension between these two is just delicious.

We’re also watching Beat and Melody’s mothers come to terms with what they’ve done in the past and how it impacted their kids. Honestly, Wreck the Halls seems too good to be true and I wish it was a real series because I know I’d love to watch it plus it’s set during Christmas.

Given that this is written by Tessa Bailey, there’s plenty of dirty talk and a kink I’ve never actually read in a book. Even so, this one gave me all of the Christmas feelings while keeping me on my toes with the steamy scenes. Whether you were pulled in by the cute cover or are just craving a holiday romance, you can’t go wrong with Wreck the Halls.
