Mixed Signals by B.K. Borison is the latest release in her Lovelight Farms series. Whether you’re new to the series or not, there is no denying just how delightful it is.

Even if you’ve never read the series before, that’s what I’m here for. These books have gotten a lot of hype both before and after Berkley picked them up so it’s only right to explain why this series is worth adding to your shelves.

Well, I’ve covered the entire series up until this point, I couldn’t leave Mixed Signals out of the fold. Aside from the fact that I loved the book, we’re still waiting a good bit for Business Casual and finally seeing Charlie and Nova’s story.

Regardless if you’re hesitant about picking up Mixed Signals or are waffling at the bookstore, I’m here to convince you.

Mixed Signals is another delightful romance by B.K. Borison.

Whether you’re headed to the bookstore or just want to know if the hype around this series is real, we’ve got 5 reasons why it’s worth spending your money on. However, if you’re smart, you’ll have a gift card saved to enjoy this series without paying much. If not, we’ve got all the reasons why Mixed Signals is worth the buy.

1. Mixed Signals is the Lovelight Farms “Summer” book.

While that sentence might not make sense to everyone, each Lovelight Farms book by B.K. Borison is modeled after a season. Thus far, we’ve seen winter and spring so now it’s summer’s turn with Mixed Signals. Looking at the cover, this one screams summer to me and is honestly such a fun and sweet romance which is sometimes what we need in summer.

2. Caleb and Layla are too adorable not to love.

For the past two books, we’ve seen snippets of Caleb and Layla with hopes of the two getting their own book. Thankfully, B.K. Borison did that and gave us a sunshine-sunshine romance between Caleb and Layla. While it takes Layla some time to warm up, it’s clear Caleb is already obsessed with her and these two are just undeniably cute.

3. Caleb is utterly obsessed with Layla from the start.

From the beginning of the book, you can see that Caleb falls first for our girl Layla and I mean it makes sense. However, he decides to take it a step further by ordering custom cakes from her for himself. He will legitimately have no reason for it but only because he wants to talk to her and spend some time with her. Plus he’s putting money in her pocket which is just everything.

4. Mixed Signals is the most romantic one yet.

If there’s one thing I can say, B.K. Borison knows how to write tender and romantic stories without making them cheesy. It feels like she turned it up even higher for Mixed Signals as I remember reading this book and swooning. Seeing these two fall for each other and seeing how they connected gave me the biggest heart eyes. Plus Layla is a baker so it immediately made me love her.

5. Mixed Signals is the final book before 2024!

As mentioned before, Mixed Signals is the final book out in the Lovelight Farms series until 2024 and that seems like a world away. Regardless, now is the time to get caught up and have this one on your shelves so you’re ready for Business Casual. Plus it’s a great one to re-read which is always a plus.

Mixed Signals by B.K. Borison is out now at your favorite bookstore!
