Jessica Simpson believes she’s setting a bad example by editing selfies

Hollywood puts pressure on celebs when it comes to beauty. Aside from getting glammed up for the red carpet, many stars also get dolled up for Instagram photos. Yet, sometimes celebs might edit their photos to make themselves look better on social media.

Kim Kardashian and Beyonce are a few celebs who have been accused of Photoshopping their Instagram pictures.  Simpson is another star who fell into the Photoshopping craze. In a new interview with Bustle, the Employee of the Month actress admits to editing her social media photos.

"“I was going to post a photo because everybody’s down my neck, Jessica, you need to post, Jessica, you need to post, I’m like, OK. Then I go to post and I’m like, oh, but let’s go to the FaceApp. I’m like, ‘Oh, that makes it look a little bit better.'”"

However, the designer’s days of altering her photos are done. The main reason is Simpson wants to set an example for her daughters, Maxwell, 11, and Birdie, 4.

"“What has done that to me? What is that doing to my daughter? What we’re doing on social media is creating this idea of what is beautiful and setting up our lives artificially – to look good for who?”"

Simpson, who also has a son, Ace, 10 with her husband Eric Johnson, prides herself on being a good mom and role model for her kids. The actress is setting a good example for her daughters with her stance on beauty and social media photos.
