We’ve made it to another major holiday, and this time Americans will be celebrating our Independence with family and friends. Fourth of July is this Tuesday, meaning people will be out and about buying last-minute menu items for cookouts and barbecues, while others will be laying out poolside for the next few days.

Depending on what you’re up to this extended weekend, a trip to the grocery store or to Walmart might be in your future. But what about the holiday hours? Will everything be open?

Well, not every store will be open on Tuesday, July 4, but fortunately, many major chains will be. If you’re hoping to make a quick run to Walmart to pick up some burgers and hot dogs or maybe a new swimsuit to don around your friends, you’d be in luck.

Is Walmart closed on the 4th of July 2023?

According to The Pioneer Woman, Walmart is set to be open this Tuesday, July 4. As reported by a representative, the site says Walmart locations should still be operating during their normal hours. Last year, Walmart locations were opened from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. on the Fourth of July. However, Walmart pharmacy hours might be limited on the holiday. We’d recommend you call ahead to confirm your location’s pharmacy hours if you need to make a stop there on Monday.

Don’t feel like picking up the phone to make a call? You can also check out Walmart’s store finder to figure out your local store’s hours this holiday.

If you’re out and need to stop at a few other stores after Walmart on July 4, rest assured that Target, Home Depot, and liquor stores — depending on which state you’re located in — will also be open.

We’re wishing our readers a happy and healthy Fourth of July full of good food and even better company! Looking for a good show to watch this holiday to beat the heat? Check out Netflix Life’s list of recommended shows to watch in July.
