Kate Middleton is ‘Prepared to Get Her Hands Dirty,’ Says Royal Expert

Kate Middleton has been quite busy. Earlier in June, the Princess of Wales participated in rugby drills during her Maidenhead Rugby Club visit. A royal expert says she went above and beyond to make sure everyone was comfortable and included. According to the expert, Kate is “prepared to get her hands dirty” so she can build connections with the public. Here’s what he had to say about her visit.

Kate Middleton makes an effort to connect  

Kate usually appears cool and confident during public events. She effortlessly engages with the crowd. She also uses little tricks to form a connection with others. For example, royal expert Darren Stanton says Kate used her outfit to “build trust” with the rugby match attendees. According to him, she dressed like the rugby players so she could demonstrate that she’s down to earth.

“Clothes are important as they send messages out to the world from a nonverbal aspect,” says Stanton on behalf of Betfair Bingo. “Kate wearing an England rugby top and fitted trousers for this particular engagement is definitely an attempt to build a connection to the people that she was visiting. She wanted to be the same as them, which enabled her to build an even deeper sense of rapport.”

Stanton goes on to say that Kate displayed confidence and grace during the event. He notes how she is willing to do whatever it takes to form a bond with the public. Stanton says Kate does what she can to make sure others are at ease in her presence.

“Kate also showed great confidence whilst playing rugby,” adds Stanton. “Kate demonstrated that she’s prepared to get her hands dirty and isn’t precious about her title or position. She clearly wants to be perceived as a genuine and authentic person.”

Stanton notes Kate’s warmth. He points out that Kate had a genuine smile during her interactions. Despite what was said during the Harry and Meghan Netflix documentary, Stanton says Kate appears to be a warm person. He emphasizes her “open palm gestures, genuine smiles, and authentic body language.” According to him, Kate made an effort to mirror the body language of the people she interacted with. He interprets this as “a demonstration of a deep trust, rapport, and respect.”

How Kate Middleton and Princess Diana are similar

Stanton says Kate shares many similarities with the late Princess Diana. One similarity he highlights is her desire to make sure those around her are comfortable. He says Diana also cared about connecting with the public and making sure they were relaxed around her.

“Kate has a lot of similarities with Princess Diana,” says Stanton. “She has the same core values of wanting to connect with people and helping them feel at ease, even if they are in the presence of the next Queen.”
