6. “End Game”

This first one physically pains me to put it this low as it’s probably my favorite collaboration Taylor had done to this point. However, I’m putting “End Game” as #6 on my list because I feel like there are stronger singles. With features from Ed Sheeran and Future and an amazing music video, I greatly appreciate this song.

Regardless as a single, it doesn’t seem to have as much staying power as the others from the Reputation era. As far as picks go, this one felt like it was bound to be such a huge radio hit and featured two heavy hitters alongside Taylor. I will say that this song has one of my favorite lines from Taylor Swift ever which is “I swear I don’t love the drama, it loves me.”

Her mind was just unreal for that line and it feels like the ultimate embodiment of this entire album as a whole. This is why Reputation is such a hard album for me to rank since I didn’t love it upon release but I’ve come to fall in love with it now.

5. “Ready For It?”

Moving onto my #5 pick, I had to completely re-rank my entire list and put “Ready For It?” here, which might surprise some people. Regardless, this decision was not made lightly as I ended up doing a re-ranking four times so honestly this was easily my most challenging ranking yet.

Even so, I decided to put “Ready For It?” a bit lower on my list because as good as it is, other songs are better. Between the remaining singles on the list, I ended up flip-flopping this one the most because it is still romantic while also being a more dancey and pop song than the rest of Reputation is.

I will say that I remember “Ready For It?” getting a lot of radio play so I can see why it’s a beloved song to some. As a huge fan of Reputation though, I couldn’t make myself put it any higher than #5 on my list as compared to the rest of the singles.
