Sometimes, two authors are better than one and that’s exactly how most of us feel about Emily Wibberley & Austin Siegemund-Broka. Since beginning to publish together in 2018, they have taken the literary world by storm.

If you’re a fan of #Wibbroka, you probably started off with their YA books and that’s understandable. A majority of the couple’s backlist is rooted in YA and within the last year, the two ventured into the adult romance genre.

However, it’s clear these two have superpowers or are just writing chameleons. You can read two different age ranges by them and wonder if it’s still the same duo. Their writing styles just weave together so well and tell such a compelling story every single time.

If you couldn’t tell, I love Emily Wibberley & Austin Siegemund-Broka and I’ve read all of their books aside from two which we’ll discuss in a minute. If you’re looking to start with their books or need to know where to go next, we’ve got you covered.

Let’s talk about YA books written by Emily Wibberley & Austin Siegemund-Broka.

As I said, these two began their careers together in the YA genre so I’d only be right to talk about their YA books first so let’s dive into their first release which was Always Never Yours.

1. Always Never Yours (2018)

Nothing beats your first and the duo began with Always Never Yours as their first book was written together. First released in 2018 and then revamped with a new cover above, this story follows Megan who is 17 and is the girl you date before you meet the girl of your dreams. It’s happened to her more than enough times to call her the “Rosaline” from Romeo & Juliet.

Funnily enough, Megan’s school is putting on a production of Romeo & Juliet in which Megan lands the lead role. This time though, the tables turn when she starts falling for someone and gets burnt which results in her finding comfort with her new friend, Owen. While I’m sure you can guess how things go, I adored how Wibbroka wrote this story aside from one plotline, but it’s a great place to start.

2. If I’m Being Honest (2019)

Moving onto the second book the two wrote together, I must say that this is still my favorite YA book written by Emily Wibberley & Austin Siegemund-Broka. This book follows Cameron who simply put is a bitch and isn’t afraid to hurt someone or their feelings to get what she wants. It all comes to a head when she ends up blowing it in front of her crush and wants to make amends with people she’s wronged to prove she’s “changed.”

In comes, Brendan who she wronged in a huge way and we watch the two slowly become friends and maybe, more. I’ll leave that one up to you as I feel like it ends up being a huge part of the story but I adore this book. Plus the fact that it’s a loose retelling of The Taming of the Shrew, you really can’t go wrong.

3. Time Of Our Lives (2020)

You’ll see a trend so far and it’s that this couple writes A LOT as they’ve released a book a year at this point. However, Time Of Our Lives is the first book from them that wasn’t a romance in the traditional way. This story follows Juniper and Fitz who meet at a college visit and the two end up seeing each other over and over again that they can’t deny the universe is bringing them together.

This book focuses a lot on the two making decisions and planning for their futures amidst their different backgrounds which I enjoyed. Personally, I don’t remember this one having a strong romance in comparison to the other two. However, it does have one of the lower ratings but I’m chalking that up to it being around COVID and not jiving with that many readers. Plus it’s the first book not focused on Shakespeare which I’m sure most of us were expecting.

4. What’s Not To Love (2021)

Moving onto 2021, the next book from Emily Wibberley & Austin Siegemund-Broka was What’s Not To Love. This is a rivals-to-lovers story following Alison and Ethan who are at each other’s throats for almost the entire book. They’re trying to best each other with grades, getting a license and so much more. While a romance does eventually blossom, these two had so much tension bubbling between them that it was bound to happen.

Honestly, my only qualm with this book was how Alison treated her sister. She was so mean and rude to her without knowing the full story. Maybe that’s just how teenagers can be but it did bother me. Either way, I feel like if you enjoy academic rivals-to-lovers, then this one is the perfect one to pick up.

5. With and Without You (2022)

Their 2022 release was actually With and Without You. I’ve actually already featured this one on Culturess so I won’t go into too much depth. This story follows Siena who wants to break up with her boyfriend Patrick but he announces he’s moving so the two decided to keep things up long-distance. It’s so nice to see these two falling for each other in different ways yet that’s not what I loved about it.

Everything about their relationship and what they were dealing with wasn’t easy. This book didn’t paint some happy and pretty picture. It got into reality and it was nice to see. I also enjoyed how it was loosely based on their own love story which was just so sweet.

6. Never Vacation With Your Ex (Out April 4th, 2023)

I’d be remiss to not include the couple’s latest YA release which is Never Vacation With Your Ex which is coming out April 4th. This one follows a couple who dated and broke up before their annual family vacation together. As you might imagine, these two end up working together to try and get Dean to get over Kaylee. However, in true Wibbroka fashion, I’m sure we’ll see the two eventually come together.

Let’s hope because these two write the best YA romances so I’m excited to pick this one up ASAP.

Let’s talk about adult romances by Emily Wibberley & Austin Siegemund-Broka.

If you’re out of the YA genre or are just craving some adult romances, then Emily Wibberley & Austin Siegemund-Broka also have two adult romances in their catalog with one on the way next year, too. For now, let’s just talk about their current releases.

1. The Roughest Draft (2022)

As I said, I haven’t read two of their books with one being The Roughest Draft. If I understand this story correctly, it follows an author duo who wrote books together and then had a major falling out. Now, their publisher is bringing them back to fulfill their contract and write a final book together. Honestly, this sounds like it’s going to be so angsty and tension-filled.

Thankfully, I do have this one on my shelves and I know I’ll be reading it soon as I’m working my way through this writing duo’s backlist currently.

2. Do I Know You? (2023)

For 2023, the couple has already released their adult romance and honestly, it’s been one of my favorite books of the year. This story follows Graham and Eliza who have been married for five years, but they’re not doing great. The two can’t seem to get the spark back until they get to the resort and decide to pretend they don’t know each other and roleplay as other people.

While it does lead to some uncomfortable moments and conversations, I couldn’t put this book down. I adored how realistic this book felt and how the two ended up coming to a resolution. It was just such a beautiful marriage-in-trouble story and a delightful romance to boot. I just couldn’t get enough of it.

Honestly, I feel like you can’t go wrong no matter where you start with this author duo’s backlist but I wanted to feature them all in order if you wanted to start from the beginning. Personally, I’ve read their books as they’ve come out aside from The Roughest Draft so I’d recommend starting that way.
