5. “Picture To Burn”

I won’t lie and say this ranking was easy. I love all of these songs and I had the hardest time, trying to come up with my ranking. As much flak as her debut album gets, I feel like it’s such an underrated gem. The songs on it are just so different from anything else she’s done including “Picture To Burn” which is #5 for me.

Don’t get me wrong, I love a good revenge song but I feel like Taylor has much better picks than this one. While I do think it’s a good song to blast after a breakup, it doesn’t seem to have the same staying power as her other singles from this album plus this one had to be edited because of the uh, unsavory original lyric.

Despite it being at the bottom of the list of singles, I feel like “Picture To Burn” captures that teen angst we all know, love, and remember. Whether you were a Taylor fan when this came out or not, you can’t deny it’s a fun song. It’s also undeniably country which is something people tend to forget when looking at this album as a whole.

Even though “Picture To Burn” might not be as memorable as the others on the list, I feel like this one has such a great music video attached to it. This single probably isn’t everyone’s jam but you can’t go wrong in adding it to your road-trip playlist. Even non-Taylor fans will be dancing along or at least, tapping their foot while listening to it.
