Xbox Games with Gold keeps right on going despite never having any insanely fantastic free games to offer. But it’s reliable in that it will give you two free games every month that may or may not already be on Game Pass. And they’re usually not anything to write home about, but they’ll entertain you for a little while.

As always, here are the games for the month of February and the dates they’re available to download:

  • For the King, February 1 to 28
  • Guts N Goals, February 15 to March 14

February highlights for Xbox Games with Gold members

First up is For the King, which is a strategic RPG that blends roguelike and table-top elements into an adventure story. There are a lot of choices with this game, with difficulty levels to choose from, different characters to play as, different adventures to pick from, and whether you want to play solo or online multiplayer.

It may sound like a mess, but honestly, For the King is a pretty fun game for what it is, and the procedurally generated levels make each playthrough different from the last.

Guts N Goals is your arcade-style soccer game for February. It’s a fun blend of top-down soccer and beat-’em-up action that can get insanely chaotic during matches. Matches are three minutes long or first to two goals, and you honestly probably won’t hit the three-minute time limit very often.

There are over 30 characters to choose from with different specialties. There are also plenty of mini-games between matches and mutator matches, which change the match from the normal first to two within three minutes. Whether it’s a zombie level or first to 99, it’s a bit of fun between the standard matches.
