Is Target open on Christmas Day 2022?

Christmas is finally here and that means spending time with family, eating every cookie in sight, and of course, presents! But if you need to get a last-minute gift or two or you need some last-minute items to decorate your house or make a holiday recipe, where better place to go than Target?

They have just about everything which makes it the perfect place when you need extra gifts, a bottle of cinnamon, a scented candle, or an extra glittery tree.

And if your Target is like mine, they probably have a ton of gingerbread houses (in every size), lots of wrapping paper, and tons of ornaments left. So if you need extra holiday things, Target is definitely the place to go. Especially if you’re on a budget. And at this time of year, who isn’t on a budget?!

And if you don’t mind the crowds, Target is also a great place to go if you want to get away from the nosy relatives for a moment or two. You can only take so many “when are you getting married?” questions!

But is Target even open on Christmas? Let’s find out.

Target Christmas Day hours 2022

Target is, unfortunately, closed on Christmas Day. It is one of three days the store gives their employees off to celebrate the holiday with their family and friends. The only other holidays they are closed are Thanksgiving and Easter.

They are open on Christmas Eve. So if you need any last-minute presents, Christmas decor, food, clothes, books, or toys (for yourself or a kid), make sure you get everything on Dec 24 because Christmas Day shopping won’t be an option.

And of course, they will be open on the day after Christmas so that’s the perfect time if you need to return something or want to get in on some after-Christmas sales (they are the best!).
