The hustle of Christmastime sometimes makes the holiday season a stressful time of the year. People hurry about to finish their shopping as stores extend their hours to meet the additional demand. Families get together to share memories, prepare feasts, and exchange gifts. With decorations and lighting, streets and neighborhoods come to life. There is something special about the season that makes it a time of joy and celebration, despite the pressure that can come with it.

To avoid the stress of Christmastime, it’s important to plan ahead when it comes to shopping for gifts and for the food you’ll serve. Whether you’re hosting a nice dinner or are simply bringing a dish to a casual gathering, a stop at the grocery store is probably crucial this weekend.

We know a lot of grocery stores will close their doors on Christmas Day, but what about Christmas Eve? Can you make a stop at Kroger for your holiday food list on Dec. 24?

Is Kroger closed on Christmas Eve, December 24?

While Kroger is expected to be closed on Christmas Day, you won’t have to worry about Christmas Eve! It’s been reported that the grocery chain will operate on Dec. 24, but it’s possible they will have limited hours depending on the location. We’d recommend calling ahead to your local Kroger to confirm the hours just in case they’re planning on opening late or closing early this Christmas Eve.

Planning a trip to Kroger on Christmas Eve but just aren’t sure what to make for your friends and family this weekend? Well, a great holiday feast with a variety of foods is a classic Christmas dinner. Roasted turkey, ham, or prime rib is frequently served as the main course, along with sides such as mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans, and cranberry sauce.

Traditional Christmas dinners frequently feature a variety of pies for dessert, including apple, pecan, and pumpkin. Bread rolls, gravy, and a variety of vegetables can also be found in a Christmas feast. A number of ingredients, such as butter, olive oil, flour, milk, eggs, sugar, salt, pepper, and a variety of herbs and spices, will probably be needed.
