Hulu highlights to watch for the December 16th weekend
As the holiday season continues to creep closer, Hulu is making sure you’re not alone as there is always something to be enjoyed.
For some, Christmas really starts in November and the same can be said for Hulu. The streaming platform really upped its game this year and released tons of Christmas movies both within the final weeks of November and in December thus far.
Just looking back at last week, there were a handful of new Christmas releases. All in all, it’s nice to see Hulu keeping its subscriber’s wants in mind although they could have a bit more diverse holiday offerings.
That’s a conversation for another time as we’re here to talk about the releases from December 10th until December 16th, 2022.
These Hulu highlights are from December 10th until December 16th, 2022.
While the 1st of the month is usually reserved for tons of releases, Hulu is really flipping the script on that idea as the platform is adding tons of new shows and movies. The only original added this week was actually Grails: When Sneakers Change the Game which is a collaboration between Hulu and ABC News. It’s a limited series which is perfect for this time of year.
Moving onto TV shows, Hulu added a ton so make sure you have your remotes ready. The platform added the first three seasons of Braxton Family Values, Seasons 1 and 2 of the First 48, Season 1 of Love at First Sight, Secrets of Playboy Season 1, and Season 3 of Foods that Built the World. As you can tell, it was a big release week for reality TV.
Hulu also added a few TV specials including the complete first season of FX’s Kindred which is an adaptation of Octavia E. Butler’s novel. The platform also added Aly Raisman: Darkness to Light, and Biography: The Nine Lives of Ozzy Osbourne. No matter what you’re in the mood for, there is something from the TV category for you.
As for movies, Hulu added Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and the Dark Knight Rises which is celebrating its 10th anniversary. Some other movies added this week were Blackfish, Dunkirk, Inception, and Life Partners. None of these exactly scream holiday cheer but are solid picks for some weekend streaming.
