The DreamWorks logo is getting a revamp in 2022

DreamWorks is easily one of the most popular animation studios. Of course, the company has always been superseded by Disney.

Regardless, there are plenty of incredible DreamWorks films. Some of the most beloved franchises have come from the studio including Shrek, Kung Fu Panda, How to Train Your Dragon and Trolls.

All in all, there are plenty of delightful animated films created by DreamWorks. For me though, I’ll always associate them with Shrek, and rightfully so. Shrek is a great movie and franchise in general no matter what age you are.

However, the iconic logo most of us recognize got a facelift and it’s only right to share the video and discuss the change.

Here’s the first look at the new DreamWorks logo for 2022 and beyond.

If you watched the video, you’ll see that the studio kept the most iconic elements of the boy and the moon but this time, he’s essentially flying through the sky and also showing us some of the company’s most well-loved projects. You may have noticed films such as The Bad Guys, Boss Baby, and Shrek among many others.

In the end, the intro is exactly as we all remember it. The boy ends up back on the moon and he’s fishing which is what we’ve come to know. Personally, I really think this intro is cute and basically gives you a look at some of DreamWork’s best. Then with the way it ends, it’s a callback to the iconic intro we’ve come to know and love.

While the intro might not be a big deal, I’m sure a lot of us can always remember the intro for DreamWorks and Disney or at least, picture it in our minds. Regardless of how you feel about the studio, I feel like the intro is the perfect combination of both new and old which isn’t easy to do.

If you’re looking to see this intro on the big screen, you’ll get your chance as it’s featured before the 2022 release of Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. The film is set for a wide theatrical release on December 21st of this year.
