Is Target open on Thanksgiving?

Thanksgiving is here and while it’s the one day when people eat their weight in food while spending time with family, that’s not always everyone’s cup of tea. Well, the food might be, but being around problematic and nosy relatives is never anyone’s idea of a good time. That’s where Target could come in.

It’s a comfort store for many people just looking to browse. Maybe the comfort of it is why we all end up leaving the store with way more items than we expected. I always end up with at least one item I did not go there for. Who knew I needed a glitter-encrusted dinosaur Christmas ornament and a Rolling Stone Christmas sweater, apparently, I did.

Whether you’re looking to start your Christmas shopping, need some last-minute items for your Thanksgiving recipe, or just need a breather from the constant questions from your family, Target could be your haven.

But the big question is: is the store actually open on Thanksgiving?

Is Target open on Thanksgiving 2022?

Unfortunately, Target is not open on Thursday, Nov 24, 2022. It’s one of the few days they give their employees a break and allow them to enjoy time with their loved ones.

They will be open the day before on Nov 23 and, of course, they will be ready for all the early shoppers on Black Friday, but you’ll have to find somewhere else to go if you want to pick up any final items for your pumpkin pie recipe or need to spend an hour or two away from your nosy aunt. Plan accordingly.

Besides Thanksgiving, there are only two other holidays when Target is closed and that includes Easter and Christmas Day.
