Zen – Grogu and the Dust Bunnies proves we need more
If there’s one perfect combination in this world, it’s Disney and Studio Ghibli. If you watched Zen – Grogu and the Dust Bunnies, then you know.
If you haven’t and you’re subscribed to Disney+, then you need to watch it. It’s only 3 minutes long including the intro and the credits. However, seeing Grogu aka Baby Yoda and the Dust Bunnies together is worth it.
While there isn’t much of a plot, it’s just so dang cute and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since I watched it. With how cute it was and how short it was, I feel like it’s such a shame that there is only one out there in the world. If anything, it should help foster a new trend.
There is no reason why Studio Ghibli and Disney shouldn’t work together to create a series of shorts since Zen – Grogu and the Dust Bunnies was such a treat for all of us who either love one of these franchises or the other.
Zen – Grogu and the Dust Bunnies should be the start of a new series.
If you watched Zen – Grogu and the Dust Bunnies, then you’ll know just how delightful the short is. While it might not have much going on, it’s so cute and cozy. Personally, I feel like that format would translate perfectly into a series of shorts and I’m not even saying that it needs to be a full series.
If anything, I’d just be happy to see some Star Wars characters and Studio Ghibli characters interact in some shorts. Obviously, it doesn’t have to be the main characters or even different characters. I’d personally love to see Grogu interact with some other Studio Ghibli characters such as Calcifer, Totoro, or Ponyo. Honestly, I feel like it would just be so cute and wholesome.
Even if Disney and Studio Ghibli did decide to branch out, I feel like fans would love it. It’s so interesting to see such beloved characters come together and be unexpectedly great. Looking at some of the other “shorts series,” I feel like a collaboration between Disney and Studio Ghibli wouldn’t be totally off-base either.
If anything, the two might end up being the best Disney has produced on the platform yet. Don’t get me wrong, some of the other shorts are good but Studio Ghibli is top-tier. You really can’t ascend any higher in quality than that. Overall, I feel like neither company can go wrong with this collaboration.
Zen – Grogu and the Dust Bunnies is currently streaming on Disney+.
