It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas; for some, it is all about getting Something From Tiffany’s. However this time, we’re talking about the book, not the little blue box.

When it comes to Christmas romances, many of us think of Hallmark movies but don’t usually gravitate toward books. Even so, there are plenty of Christmas-themed books out there, and the one we’re talking about today is Something From Tiffany’s by Melissa Hill.

If you don’t recognize that title, don’t fret as it’s actually a story that’s been republished. The original novel came out in 2011. Now, it’s been republished by Sourcebooks Landmark as a 2022 release with some revisions. This all comes amidst the release of a film adaptation on Prime Video set for December 9th, 2022.

If you’re a reader like me, then you’ll want to pick up the book before you watch the film so let’s break down why it’s better to read before you watch.

Something From Tiffany’s is a must-read before you snuggle up to enjoy the film.

First, let me thank the publisher for reaching out to me as I’d never have checked out this book but I’m really happy I did. With that being said, there will be no spoilers from this point on so if you haven’t read the book, then you can keep reading and I’m sure you’ll want to know the reasons why it’s a good Christmas read.

The first reason is a simple one and it’s that the book is set during Christmastime in New York City. Can you think of a more quintessential time for a Christmas book? Everything is so bright and sparky along with the dash of magic that Christmas always seems to bring with it. You’ll be craving a cup of hot chocolate before you finish the first 50 pages.

If you didn’t know, the premise of Something From Tiffany’s, the book follows two men who both buy something from Tiffany’s for their respective significant others and due to a series of events, their bags are mixed up. That’s the catalyst for the story and if that premise doesn’t make you want to pick it up, then I’m not sure how else to convince you.

With a premise like that, it’s clear this book is going to ensnare you from the start plus it’s a surprisingly fast-paced story. This is a book that I read in two sittings because I just couldn’t put it down. It was just so captivating as you’re watching these people deal with the fallout of one small mistake.

This reason might seem a bit obvious, but a lot of us readers want to read the book before the movie comes out to compare. If you’re like me, then you need to pick this one up as you have less than a month until the film is released. Plus it gives you a good idea of what you can look for when it comes to the film adaptation which is part of the reason for me at least.

The last reason and one that might sound a bit odd is that Something From Tiffany’s is a bit of a messy story with plenty of drama thrown in there. You’ll be rooting for a character on one page and then hate them a paragraph later. Every single thing that can happen to these characters happens and it’s just addicting. This story is messy yet in the best way so I’m anxious to see how things play out during the film.

If you’re already in the Christmas mood, be sure to check out Something From Tiffany’s by Melissa Hill. You never know, it might end up surprising you. However, if that’s not enough, we have a still from the film to share so that might convince you a bit more.

After reading the book and looking at this still, I’m even more excited to watch the film. However, I’d like to know if you plan on watching the film first or if you’re going to read the book first. I know some people like to watch before they read so that’s always an idea, too.

If you want to get your hands on a copy of the movie tie-in edition, it will be released on November 15th, 2022, and is being republished by Sourcebooks Landmark. If you’re looking for a copy now though, you can get it wherever books are sold.
