Buckle up because Disney Junior’s Firebuds are about to hit the small screen. If you have a little one in your life, this might be on your queue for the whole of September.

While Disney is known for its animated properties, most people think of the company’s movies, but the recent shift to animated TV shows has become apparent. In addition, a lot of companies are now either creating a channel like Disney Junior or featuring a block on the regular channel.

For Disney though, Firebuds is going to be featured on three different Disney platforms. First is obviously Disney Junior along with a telecast on Disney Channel and of course, Disney+. If you or your little one can’t catch it when it airs, at least you’ll be able to use your Disney+ account.

If you’re looking for all of the info about Firebuds, then we at Culturess have you covered with the release date, cast, and even the trailer for the upcoming animated series.

Firebuds release date

As previously mentioned, Firebuds will be premiering on both Disney Junior and Disney Channel while also being featured on Disney+, too. If you’re looking to catch the premiere, then be sure to tune in on Wednesday, September 21st at 10:30 am EST.

Firebuds cast

As for the cast of the series, there are a lot of younger actors who you might not have heard of but there are also some actors we adults might recognize, too.

  • Declan Whaley as Bo
  • Terrence Little Gardenhigh as Flash
  • Lily Sanfelippo as Axl
  • JeCobi Swain as Jayden
  • Caleb Paddock as Piston
  • Lou Diamond Phillips as Chief Bill Bayani
  • Yvette Nicole Brown as Chief Faye Fireson

While those are the main players in the cast, Firebuds will also feature guest appearances from Oscar Nuñez, Weird Al Yankovic, Natalie Morales, Padma Lakshmi, and Melissa Rauch among many others. Honestly, this lineup should be more than enough to attract parents and caregivers to even sit down for an episode or three.

Firebuds synopsis

After going through everything else, it’s only right to talk about the entire premise of Firebuds. It’s pretty short and sweet but via the press release.

“Set in a fantastical world where talking vehicles live, work and play with the humans who drive them, Firebuds follows a boy named Bo and his fire engine best friend Flash as they team up with their first responder friends to help others in their community with problems big and small.” All in all, it sounds like a really adorable show.

Firebuds trailer

If you don’t believe me though, then feel free to take a look at the trailer for the upcoming season.

As an aunt to a 2-year-old, I know that my nephew is going to love this series so I figured it only right to share with some of the readers who might be in the same boat. Even though I’m not a parent, I’m sure some parents are looking for something new to put into the TV rotation.

Also if the little in your life ends up enjoying Firebuds, you’ll be happy to know that Disney Publishing is going to be releasing storybooks along with toys coming out later next year. Lastly, Disney Junior Live On Tour: Costume Palooza will feature both Bo and Flash within the show. Overall, there is no shortage of Firebuds if you’re looking for a bit more.
