Every year at the beginning of September, folks get one final day off of the summer to get them out of the warm weather mindset and back into the swing of things preparing for winter. The Monday at the end of the three-day weekend can be a source of relaxation for some, and others may take advantage of the time off to scratch some things off of their lengthy to-do lists.

But then some just want to work up a sweat and burn as many calories as possible. For those who are looking to blow off some steam at the gym or just trying to keep up with the fitness goals they have set, there is one place that can meet those needs and more.

For years, Planet Fitness has been the go-to spot for people looking to maintain a healthy lifestyle and get into the best shape possible while doing so in a well-kept, judgment-free zone with tons of great equipment. But will the doors be locked, preventing people from working out on Labor Day this year?

According to the website HolidayHoursTime.com, all Planet Fitness branches stay open for all of the federally recognized holidays, like Christmas and Easter. This means all willing members will be able to work out at their nearest location on Labor Day.

That being said, it’s entirely possible that your local Planet Fitness will have limited hours this Labor Day. My location, for example, recently put up a sign on their door that lists their shortened hours of operation for Monday. Though all locations should be open, we’d recommend calling ahead just to make sure you don’t show up before they open or after they close this holiday.

Anyone with a strict physical fitness routine who doesn’t believe in taking days off will be very excited to learn the news that their gym will open for business.
