Some shows are synonymous with food. In particular, Golden Girls fans associate cheesecake with the beloved sitcom.

Aside from cheesecake though, food is a massive part of the Golden Girls as a whole. Whether it’s Sophia cooking one of her specialties or Rose looking to share some family traditions, it’s scarce to see an episode where food doesn’t make an appearance.

While 2022 has already given us a Golden Girls pop-up in LA, not everyone can travel there or wants to pay the price for a ticket. That’s reasonable given the costs of everything but thankfully, there’s a way you can show your love of the series through your food.

This new Golden Girls cookbook is the perfect pick for any fan of the show.

While cookbooks based on TV shows are nothing new, Variety was the first to break the news of the golden gals joining the ranks. Frankly, it’s a little bit confusing as to why the show hasn’t been the subject of a cookbook yet. Regardless, the show is finally getting it due now.

Entitled The Golden Girls Cookbook: Cheesecakes and Cocktails!: Desserts and Drinks to Enjoy on the Lanai with Blanche, Rose, Dorothy, and Sophia, the book is written by Christopher Styler while Andrew Scrivani did the photos. At this point, the book has yet to go on sale but is set to be published on September 13th, 2022.

The cookbook is set to feature over 40 recipes but only desserts and drinks. While it’d be nice to see some of Sophia’s Sicilian charm, that might come in another installment. Honestly, the book seems like it’s going to be a hit among fans and feature some tasty recipes.

Since cheesecake is a huge part of the series, no doubt there will be multiple recipes giving us all different flavors of the beloved dessert. With the book coming out right before fall, that would be the perfect time to crack it open and bake a few treats to help ring in the colder weather.
