Xbox Games with Gold keeps churning out four new free offerings each month for its members. While it’s always overshadowed by Game Pass (and now PlayStation’s revamped PS Plus that launches in June), it never seems to slow down.

Here are your offerings for April and the dates they’re available:

  • Another Sight, April 1 to 30
  • Hue, April 16 to May 15
  • Outpost Kaloki X, April 1 to 15
  • MX vs ATV Alive,  April 16 to 30

Games with Gold April highlights

Another Sight is your steampunk platformers for April. It’s set in a steampunk version of London at the start of the 20th century. You play Kit, who loses her sight and has to rely on her cat, Hodge, to explore the underground world. It will give you Neil Gaiman vibes. The focus of the game is on the relationship between Kit and Hodge. It makes for an interesting take on the genre.

Hue is your puzzle platformer this month. Its focus is on changing the colors around you on every level as you search for your mother. The farther you get, the more colors you unlock, and the harder everything gets. The visuals and the soundtrack are both very much on point for this game, and if you haven’t checked it out yet, give it a download this month.

Does it feel like there have been a lot of city-building management games offered lately? Because Outpost Kaloki X is another one to add to that list. It’s just that this one is in space! And you can… build hangouts for aliens? It feels very much like a space version of Roller Coaster Tycoon, which isn’t a bad thing. But it is a little dated.

And of course, a month wouldn’t be complete if there wasn’t a racing game up for grabs. This month it is MX vs. ATV Alive, an off-road racing game. The customization of your rider and bike is fun. But otherwise, this game isn’t anything special.
