Tamika Lamison

There are some people in the entertainment industry that we never really hear about. Often times they are the people behind the cameras who help bring stories to life. But while Tamika Lamison is a director, filmmaker, and writer, that is not all she does.

And yet, it is thanks to her work in Hollywood that she is making a difference. But what does that mean? It means that Lamison is one of those people who does her part to make an impact on the lives of others.

According to People Magazine, she is the founder of a non-profit organization called Make-A-Film. Much like the Make-A-Wish foundation, the Make-A-Film foundation is all about helping terminally ill children realize a dream. But in this case, that dream is making movies.

These children, often who have very little time left, are connected with “heavy hitters” who can help them make magic happen. Basically, these kids are given an opportunity to “write, produce and premiere their own movies.”

If you are tearing up learning about this, welcome. I too am choked up learning about Tamika Lamison’s work and humanitarian efforts.

Perhaps it is just me, but anyone who can create a foundation dedicated to helping terminally ill children achieve a dream before they die deserves to be in the history books. After all, there is never enough kindness in this world.
