Stacey Abrams

In 2021, Stacey Abrams was named as one of People’s Women Changing the World. And that makes perfect sense. After all, she is a voting rights activist who is known for being a political game-changer in her own right.

But if you are unfamiliar with who Abrams is and why she is a woman to watch out for, all it takes is a look back to her work during the 2020 election and even before that. Between 2018 and 2020, Stacey Abrams helped to create both Fair Fight and the New Georgia Project.

Each of these organizations is credited with the massive boost in registered voters in the state of Georgia. And while Abrams has made it clear that she does not take full credit for this effort, she was definitely instrumental in helping turn the tide in the state during the presidential elections.

But it’s not just her political work that has us keeping her on our radar. It is also the fact that she is a published author with multiple books in her library – both children’s books and fiction books (you can find her fiction under the pen name Selena Montgomery!).

Basically, we just love Stacey Abrams and everything she has done to make an impact on the world and in her own corner of it.
