Cheryl Horn

Our final woman making history right now is a woman who was designated as one of USA Today’s Women of the Year for 2022. You may never have heard of Cheryl Horn before, but she is definitely a woman to pay attention to.

And what makes her a history maker? It is the fact that she is an advocate for Indigenous women who have gone missing or been murdered.

After searching for her own niece, she realized that there are so many women who have gone missing without any real efforts put into solving their cases. With so many Indigenous women lost to a system that doesn’t seem to care about what happens to them, it only makes sense that it would be another Indigenous woman who would step up and say enough is enough.

Cheryl Horn is doing what others have not and she is doing it by reaching beyond her community and raising awareness for the problems facing her people.

When it comes to women making history, Horn is definitely someone we cannot forget or ignore.

Next. 20 women under 30 who are making a difference in the world. dark
